Lake Michigan

Growing up in Illinois, not too far from Lake Michigan, you get to go on many family vacations around the lake. The most exciting vacation is to take one or two weeks, and just drive all the way around the lake. There are some really great places to stop, including some of the wineries in lower Michigan andWisconsin, all the apple orchards in the fall (if you can, find the Tree-mendous Fruit Farm near Dowagiac, MI), Sleeping Bear Dunes on the east side of the lake, Mackinac Island, Tahquamanon Falls (which is actually closer to lake Superior), Door County Wisconsin and the Sister Bay area, and don't forget Milwaukee! There's plenty of things to see and do! And Road America is over there in Wisconsin, not too far from the lake.
