The Salt Flats

Again, if you are on I-80, you will find an amazing piece of interstate to the west of Salt Lake City, UT. Its 45 miles of perfectly flat and straight 3 lane road. You can really get moving there! Just watch out for the police waiting at the Nevada State Line! Although they might have raised the speed limit by now.

Its not really exciting, but it is unusual. Also, if it is not a foggy day, the drive on I-80 around the bottom of the Great Salt Lake is pretty scenic. You can see the mountains that are off in the distance in the lake.
