The Snowy Range
-- In the heart of Wyoming

If you are traveling through Wyoming on I-80, then (assuming you are going West) you should get off of the interstate in Laramie on Rt. 130. Just follow 130 until it joins up with I-80 again in Walcott. Its a beautiful drive over the snowy range. I drove this one during the early part of October. It was 35 degrees and sunny in Laramie, but there was a heavy snowstorm on top of the mountain. It was an exciting drive!
Warning: You don't want to drive this route after the middle of October, and probably not before the beginning of May. I don't recommend it if weather conditions are anything but sunny. You never know what is going on at the top of the mountain (like the blizzard I encountered!)
